For over 10 years Dr. Martin has been involved in the fight to aid the underprivileged within the HIV/AIDS infected population, and has dedicated most of his career to this passion. He has been on both the social and biomedical fronts in the battle to mitigate the effects of the HIV Pandemic, and additionally, has a background in nonprofit organizations which provided services to HIV infected individuals and additionally, as Research Scientist he participated in ground-breaking projects where he designed and tested potential HIV vaccines. Dr. Martin understands the unfortunate reality individuals affected with HIV face and the limitations placed upon their personal development by cultural stigmas. Through United By Hope he plans to implement new opportunities for individuals throughout the Caribbean. He holds a Ph.D. in Biology; specializing in comparative Evolutionary and Structural Bioinformatics and 2 Masters Degrees, one in Biotechnology and the second in Biology Specializing in genetic manipulation and Bioinformatics. He also holds the Global PMP certification.
